The history of Sinclair coincides, for the most part, with that of its founder Gina Lunardon. She was born in Marostica in the Vicenza County, and she grew up in an environment where the typical agricultural activities were yielding to a developing textile craftsmanship, that was fostered both by tradition and modernity.
In the 70’s Gina Lunardon opens her own fashion house to produce leather garments on commission from shops in various parts of Italy. But her tenacity, tempered by the difficulties encountered over the years, prevents her from restricting her creative efforts to her land and the small community revolving around it. Within a short period of time her business flourishes.
The success which she gradually obtains in no way alters her strong ties to the territory and to the firm respect for the values acquired during her youth. She is always supported by her intimate perception of an industrial modernity to be gently softened into the human environment in which the values of the past constitute a feature of the collective identity. Factors which, within a short period of time, lead to Sinclair’s products being distributed nationwide.
Since 1990 Sinclair has been managed by Gina Lunardon’s son Pierantonio Marini.
He is realizing the Company consolidation and expansion together with the family and an effective management. A process of renewal within continuity realised thanks to the clearly stated preference for a production line strictly Made in Italy and hand-made. And also for the faith to real quality both as regards the final product and the Company procedures that are pursued with singleminded prescience.
